Flame Retartand Applications

Flame Retartand Applications

Flame Retardant Applications

Polyester and vinyl ester resins, with their different structural properties are useful for various fire retardant applications. Electrical and lighting fixtures, flame retardant train and vehicle parts, marine vehicles and military applications are some examples. Resins in this group are classified in two classes: halogenated or non-halogenated.

Polipol 345-FRT is recommended for advanced technology, non-halogenated train parts productions. Polipol 309 is recommended in production of transparent, highly flame retardant panels and sheets.

EN 45545 is the European Standards accepted in all EU countries and describes flame retardancy of composite parts for specific applications.
