Diluents and Monomers
Products in this group consist of monomers and diluents for resin and gelcoat applications. Cleaning solvents or acetone are not recommended to be used for resin or gelcoat thining. Use of such solvents may cause pinhole defects on the gelcoat surface or early yellowing of gelcoat film.

Polyester Diluent
Styrene monomers are used to decrease viscosity and ease flow characteristics of resin. The maximum level for additional styrene is 10%, which also depends on the resin type. High ratios of styrene will detoriate the mechanical properties of the resin.

Gelcoat Diluent
Gelcoat diluent is a special monomer mixture designed for decreasing viscosity of Polijel gelcoats. The maximum level should be 2-2,5% depending on gelcoat application equipment and gelcoat type. Please contact to your sales representative for special viscosity or thixotropy needs for gelcoats.
