Novolac Vinyl Ester Resins

Novolac Vinyl Ester Resins

Novolac Vinyl Ester Resins

VE resins are a combination of both polyester resin and epoxy resins best properties. While they have high mechanical strength values similar to epoxy resins, they are easy to apply similar to unsaturated polyester resins. The matter of choice for composite structures where material has exposure to aggressive chemicals. Novolac vinyl ester resins are one of the resins which provide excellent chemical resistance. It has high thermal resistance and good mechanical properties and chemical resistance even at high temperatures. Suitable for hand lay-up and RTM production methods.

Vinyl ester resins have low polar groups on chemical backbone and are more resistant to hydrolysis compared to polyester resins.
